This year was exciting for me because we actually HAD everything we needed for these costumes, with the exception of the broom for Emily and the black spray for Jack's hair! No running all over town for me. Not to mention a total cost of about $5.00. LOVE THAT! With Halloween being on a Sunday this year, it didn't last just the one day, it was a three day celebration... School carnival Friday night, 2 local business Trick-or-Treats on Saturday, and then of course actual Halloween. They were totally over it by the time tonight actually came. Jack was not about to put the get up on once more. Especially not just to hand out candy to other kids!
Sooooo.... As I sit here typing, some kids came by to trick-or-treat and my kids totally get back into the spirit of this great holiday. Now they want to get it all back on (after I have just washed and put it all back away) and head over to our neighbors' place for a dinner they were having where all of their friends happened to be all dressed up and waiting. Now here all the candy sits untrick-or-treated, ready to torment me for the next few weeks until I just can't stand it, and I'm probably the only one left eating it, and I have to dump it all just so I don't eat every last bit of it myself...*SIGH*. The kids had a great time though, and I guess that's what matters.
